Healing Gardens Counseling PLLC

A Personal Healing Journey

As a therapist, I apply feminist and anti-oppression lenses using a relational approach. None of us escape the damaging effects of white supremacy and patriarchal structures. I value the diversity, unique identity, and experiences each client brings into the room. We are more than the labels we have been given. I believe that who you are today is the result of all that has come before you. This means that your experiences and relationships have greatly influenced how you exist in your world. Together, we will explore your history and make connections to your present to change your future. I am passionate about creating a safe environment that allows you to explore your past and present.

Learning to Hold Beauty and Brokenness

My theory of change:

We are influenced by many forces in our lives. Those forces had a powerful impact on molding and shaping us. They told us what was acceptable or not, what was true, and how we should be. If we cannot name these influences and decide what we accept and reject, we cannot break vows and agreements. If we do not recognize the binds that were created by these influences, we cannot decide to get out of the box we have been shoved into and step into the box that is uniquely ours. We have a choice, but we must actually choose to embrace change.
